Pax Christi in Australia seeks to be a force for peace within the churches and the community by pointing to the factors that make for violence and for peace.
Disarming Times is produced by Pax Christi Australia. It is now in its 52nd year of publication. Edited by Reverend Harry Kerr, the June 2026 edition explores the different perspectives surrounding the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), following the Eleventh Review Conference of the Parties. The issue also includes the report by Mary Yelenick, a member of the Pax Christi International delegation that participated in the Conference. Since its foundation, Pax Christi Australia has worked closely alongside Pax Christi International in pursuing our shared vision of peacebuilding. Today, advancing a global vision of nuclear disarmament remains one of the most important ways of investing in genuine security, rooted in human dignity.
