Ronald Wilson Ecumenical Leadership Fund

The Ecumenical Leadership Fund assists young people eager to enlarge their ecumenical experience and leadership skills.  It helps those who have exhibited leadership potential to develop their gifts and focus their vision.
Applications for assistance should take the form of a letter setting out the applicant’s plans and aspirations for serving the church in Australia. Each application should include information about the applicant, background, interests and financial neeeds. 
Guidelines
* Applicants are expects to present significant proposals for enhancing their ecumenical perceptions and/or leadership skills, indicating the benefits anticipated for themselves and for the wider church. 
* Normally each application is endorsed by an appropriate body within the person’s own Church. 
* The grant is intended to cover not more than 75% of the costs of the applicant’s proposal, requiring some financial commitment from the applicant, local church, and/or other parties. 
* Applicants should be aged 35 or less. Standard post-grad degree work in seminaries or other academic institutions falls beyond the purpose of the fund. 
* Successful applicants accept responsibility for reporting back to the committee and to their own church at the completion of the program.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Development Fund (ATSIDF)

Status: Applications are received from July to March each year.
The fund is set up to assist Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples by giving small, usually one-off grants for community development projects. The projects are funded through the NATSIEC annual Martung Upah Appeal.

Men’s Shed Funding Program
Status: applications for the Men’s Shed Funding Program 2026-27 are closed.

Men’s sheds are safe and practical places for men to meet, make social connections and actively participate in their local communities. The Victorian Government is offering grants up to $100,000 to help build or improve Men’s Sheds across the state.

Toy Library Establishment Grants Program
Status: Applications for Toy Library Grants 2026 are now closed.
The Victorian Government is offering grants of $40,000 to eligible not-for-profit organisations interested in establishing a new toy library in areas that need it the most. Register and get more information here

Janette Gray PhD Scholarship 
Tuition for up to 4 years and a stipend for up to 3 years

Missionary Sisters of Service Scholarship
The Missionary Sisters of Service Scholarship is to be awarded for the first time in 2024 to mark the 80th anniversary of the order’s founding. The scholarship fully covers the recipient’s tuition fees for postgraduate study at the University of Divinity ($19,032 per full-time year at 2024 rates) and provides a $10,000 annual living allowance. The scholarship is available for a fixed period of two years. The purpose of the scholarship is to support theological education and pastoral leadership in Australia that is consonant with the vision of Laudato Si’, Pope Francis’ encyclical on ‘care for our common home’ which addresses matters of integral ecology, ecological education and spirituality and calls all people to action on environmentalism and climate change. (Applicants must be female and under 40 years of age). More information here
